Lip Augmentation

What is Lip Filler?
The lip filler we use is dermal filler, the most popular are Revolax (The Grout Pout), Saypha and Juvederm, which come from hyaluronic acid.

We have hyaluronic acid in our bodies already. It gives our skin the elasticity and plumpness that gives us our youthful appearance. Both fillers are produced as a gel and neither of them contain animal or human DNA which means it is one of the safest fillers on the market today.
What is the Procedure?
Firstly we give you an anaesthetic which is a strong numbing cream. The lip area is sensitive and we want you to feel comfortable throughout the procedure. The fillers are then injected into the appropriate areas and massaged to provide the natural look you require.
Side Effects?
If you are suffering from cold sores, the treatment may give you another outbreak. However, you can use your usual medication to treat them. There will also be some swelling which might last a couple of days. There might also be some bruising where the injection was given and it may be slightly painful or itchy. However, the discomfort should only last a few days. If you’re worried about after effects come and talk to us and we will advise you.
How Long Will it Last?
Your newly plump lips will normally last between 6-12 months. Although each person is different, some will find it doesn't last the full 6 months. This can be caused by smoking, fast metabolism, regular exercise or kissing.
